ACN CANDIDATE WINS BYE-ELECTION

Hon. Bukola Vivian Wilson, the candidate of Action Congress of Nigeria (ACN), has been declared the winner of the bye-election that was conducted in Ward‘A’ Alayabiagba in Ajeromi/ Ifelodun Local Government Area of Lagos State.
The bye election was conducted to fill the vacant seat of the representative of the area in the State House of Assembly, following the death of the former representative, HonourableAbayomiAkintokun, who died September last year.
Lagos State Independent Electoral Commission (LAISEC) declared Hon.Wilson as the winner of the election after acquiring the highest number of votes in the election.
Hon.Wilson carts away the highest number of 1965 votes followed by Afolabi Bahir Olatunde of Peoples Democratic Party (PDP) who had 339 votes. Other contestants reportedly has the following votes: Wakeel Aminu of Alliance for Democracy (AD)  had  18 votes, Kolawwole Agboola of Action Alliance (AA)  had 16 votes, Balogun Aminu of Congress for Progressive Change (CPC) won 14 votes while  Razak Abdulateef Sherif of New Nigeria Peoples’ Party (NNPP) had the lowest number  of 4 votes.
Report gathered revealed that the bye-election was conducted under a peaceful atmosphere and that it was free and fair of electoral malpractices.
